Assets – Usage Terms

Welcome to Cigi.dev. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Cigi.dev assets, including any content, functionality, and resources offered through our platform. By downloading or using any of our assets, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Licensing Overview

All assets are licensed per-user and tied to the Discord ID entered at checkout. Sharing, reselling, or redistributing files in any form is prohibited across all license types.

There are three types of license conditions:

Standard License

(applies by default unless otherwise stated)

You MAY:

  • Use the asset for both personal and commercial use (including avatars for sale or commissions), if no separate Commercial License is provided.
  • Edit, retexture, and include the asset in finished models or creations.

You MAY NOT:

  • Resell or redistribute the asset on its own—even if edited or modified.
  • Share the asset files with others.
  • Claim the asset or its design as your own.
  • Use the asset in VTubing/streaming without proper, visible credit.
Commercial License

(if purchased or explicitly required)

You MAY:

  • Use the asset in commercial projects, including:
    • Paid/Nitro/public avatars
    • Commissioned models
    • VTubing and monetized streams (with credit)
  • Edit or retexture for resale as part of a complete model.

You MAY NOT:

  • Sell or distribute the asset standalone.
  • Undercut the asset's value (e.g., selling avatars priced lower than the original asset cost).
  • Use without proper credit and/or license.
Discord Exclusive License

Some assets are released as Discord Exclusives.

By using a Discord Exclusive asset, you agree to the following:

  • You must remain an active member of the official Cigi Discord server to maintain usage rights.
  • Your license automatically terminates if you leave, are removed from, or are banned from the server.
  • Continued use of the asset without active membership is a breach of terms and revokes your license.

Credit Requirements (MANDATORY)

Proper credit is required any time an asset is used in a public-facing or commercial context.

This includes listings, showcases, social media, VTubing, avatar worlds, and streaming.

You MUST:

  • Clearly link both the product page and the storefront.
  • Explicitly state the creator name as Cigi.
  • Reference the exact product name—do not group assets under vague terms like "accessories" or "clothing".

Not allowed:

  • "Misc clothing by creators"
  • "Sleeves by various sources"
  • No credit at all

Make sure the credit is visible, specific, and direct wherever the asset appears.

Acceptance of Terms

By downloading any assets or by using any part of our resources, you are agreeing to be bound by these Terms of Service. Our resources are offered subject to your acceptance of these Terms.
